SILOAM SPRINGS, AR (October 8, 2024) – Today, the Western Benton County Partnership (WBCP) announced significant strides in enhancing in-home childcare services. Utilizing the $339,800 grant awarded by the Arkansas Community Foundation, WBCP is proud to report that six new in-home childcare businesses have successfully launched, creating 60 new childcare spots that were unavailable just a year ago.
Childcare has been identified as a critical pillar for prosperity in our community, and WBCP has been intentional in its efforts to address this need. The partnership with Early Childhood Solutions (ECS) has played a pivotal role in equipping these new childcare providers with the necessary training and resources to ensure safe and nurturing environments for children. All six newly established family childcare homes are now open to the public, offering essential services that support working families in Benton County.
“Creating a robust network of in-home childcare providers is vital for the growth and stability of our community,” said Tyler Dees, Executive Director of WBCP. “These new businesses are a testament to our commitment to improving quality of life and providing families with the childcare options they need to pursue workforce opportunities.”
The success of this initiative demonstrates the power of collaboration and community engagement in improving quality of life for families in Western Benton County. WBCP, alongside ECS, will continue to work diligently to foster a supportive environment for childcare providers and families alike.
