Western Benton County Partnership Rewards Student Attendance Across Region with More Than $7,500 in Prizes

May 13, 2026 by michaelmccranie

Siloam Springs, AR – The Western Benton County Partnership recently celebrated students across Western Benton County through a regional attendance incentive initiative aimed at encouraging consistent school attendance and recognizing student commitment throughout the spring semester.

The initiative rewarded eligible high school students from the Siloam Springs School District, Gentry Public Schools, Decatur School District and Gravette School District who met attendance criteria during the back half of the school year.

Through the program, WBCP awarded more than $7,500 in gift cards and prizes, along with two $1,000 cash drawings for qualifying students at each participating school.

The effort was designed to reinforce the importance of attendance while encouraging students as they continue building skills, knowledge and habits that will support future success.

“Strong communities begin with students who are engaged, showing up and investing in their future every day,” said Shane Patrick, Superintendent of Siloam Springs School District and member of the Western Benton County Partnership. “This initiative was a great example of what can happen when schools, local leaders and community partners come together to support and celebrate our students. We’re grateful to the Western Benton County Partnership for making this possible and for continuing to invest in the future of our region.”

The attendance initiative reflects WBCP’s broader mission to strengthen communities across western Benton County by fostering collaboration, opportunity and long-term regional prosperity.
